MEET YOUR TEACHER

Jay Creasey’s half century journey into martial arts took him to Japan. There he was fully immersed and formed a strong sense of history in the healing arts.


In Japan, he earned the name Také (Bamboo) as his Budo teachers saw that he was strong yet flexible. 

While in Japan, Také Sensei developed a strong hunger to know more about how the body works. It was the combination of the brutal injuries sustained while training and the fantastic healing modalities that he was able to experience that drove his need to understand more.


It was his teacher, Dr. Takagi Tsugio Sensei that took the term Junan Taikokyu and shortened it to Taikokyu which stuck with Také Sensei which became the formalized beginnings of Taikokyu which he has taught to students all over the globe.


He studied the physical education sciences at the University of Calgary in Canada, Seitai (Japanese Chiropractic), Shiatsu (acupressure), Harikyu (Acupuncture) from the late Dr. Shunryu Takagi of Noda Chiba Japan.


Jay “Také” Creasey is currently a Kannushi (Shinto priest) studying with Chihiro Ito of Japan.

Také Sensei is an instructor at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and also is a guest Instructor at Haskayne Business School at the University of Calgary teaching leadership and was instrumental in the beginnings of a “Leadership Dojo” for MBA students.
